You may have to go to a larger bank in order to get the financing. The country you are looking to buy a house in may require you to get financing through one of their financial institutions. If that happens, you are going to need to make sure that you have all the proper documentation in place. Your realtor should be able to help you find the right institution for you to work with and tell you all the documents you will need. You may be able to work with them long distance with the help of your realtor, otherwise, you can do what you can so that when you are in that country you can just get everything taken care of quickly.
